Finding the Right Breast Form Starts Here

Not sure where to begin? That's exactly where we start too.

After mastectomy or lumpectomy, finding the right breast form can feel overwhelming - different shapes, weights, materials, and prices, and most websites assume you already know what you need.

At Naturally You, we start with you: your surgery, your lifestyle, your comfort. Our Amoena-certified fitters will help you find the right form, navigate your provincial coverage, and get properly fitted - at no extra cost to you.

💡 You may pay less than you expect. Provincial programs may cover all or a portion of your breast prosthesis cost.

What kind of breast form is right for you?

Every woman's situation is different. Here's a plain-language guide to the main types. No jargon, no pressure.

How a fitting works

A breast form fitting at Naturally You takes about 30-60 minutes. We'll talk through your surgery, your daily routine, and what comfort means to you, and then try a few styles until something feels right. There's no obligation to buy, and no rush. Most women tell us the fitting is the part they wish they'd done sooner.

Fittings are available in-store in Barrie, Ontario, or virtually/by phone for customers across Canada.

Answers to Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose a breast form after mastectomy?

The best place to start is with a private fitting. Our certified fitters will ask about your surgery type (full mastectomy, lumpectomy, bilateral), your current bra size, your lifestyle, and how you want the form to feel day-to-day.

From there, we narrow down from our full Amoena catalogue to the 2-3 forms that are most likely to be right for you. Most women find the right form much faster with a guided fitting than by browsing on their own. Book a fitting here.

Does my provincial health plan cover a breast prosthesis?

Many do. Ontario's ADP (Assistive Devices Program) covers up to $195 every two years toward a breast prosthesis. Quebec's RAMQ and Nova Scotia's MSI offer similar programs. Other provinces have varying levels of coverage.

Because Naturally You employs Amoena Certified Mastectomy Fitters, our fittings
and products meet the eligibility criteria for most provincial programs. See
our full Provincial Funding Guide
for province-by-province details - or ask us at your fitting and we'll walk you through the paperwork.

What's the difference between silicone, fiberfill, and air-adjustable breast forms?

Silicone forms: (like Amoena's Natura and Essential lines) are the
most popular - they mimic the weight, warmth, and movement of natural breast
tissue most closely.

Fiberfill forms: are ultra-lightweight and soft - often recommended as a starter form immediately post-surgery, or for women who prefer a lighter option for everyday wear.

Air-adjustable forms: (the Amoena Adapt Air range) use a discreet air valve to let you add or release volume in seconds - ideal for women whose body is still changing post-surgery or who want a form that adapts to different days and outfits. Our fitters can help you decide which is right for where you are in recovery. Explore Adapt Air
forms.

Can I wear a breast form while swimming?

Yes - many Amoena breast forms are swim-safe. Look for forms specifically labelled as "swim-ready" or "waterproof" in the product description. These forms can be worn in chlorinated pools, salt water, and freshwater without damage.

We also carry a large range of mastectomy swimwear with built-in pockets designed to hold a form securely. Shop mastectomy swimwear.

What is a contact breast form and is it right for me?

A contact form - sometimes called a self-adhesive form - attaches directly to the chest wall using a gentle medical-grade adhesive, allowing you to go without a bra or wear backless and strapless styles. Contact forms are popular with active women, women who swim, and women with bilateral mastectomies who prefer not to wear a bra at all. They require a fully healed surgical site (usually 6–12 months post-surgery).

Our fitters can assess whether a contact form is suitable for you. Book a fitting to discuss.

Can I get a custom-made breast form?

Yes. We offer the Amoena Custom Breast Prosthesis - a hand-crafted form
made from a 3D scan of your body, matched to your skin tone, shape, and volume.

Custom forms are ideal for women with unique anatomy, rare sizing, bilateral
mastectomy, or those who have tried standard forms and want the closest
possible fit. The process begins with a private consultation at our Barrie,
Ontario boutique. Custom forms often qualify for provincial funding. Learn
