Most clinicians recommend beginning silicone scar therapy once the surgical incision has fully closed. This is typically around 4–6 weeks post-surgery, though the timing depends on your individual healing progress and your surgeon's guidance. Starting too early (on open or incompletely healed skin) is not recommended.
